These beautiful photographs of the bay of Calcatoggio illustrate the delightful situation of our house.

Sagone Bay viewed from the San Sebastiano Pass.

A view of the bay from the San Sebastiano Pass, 700 m above sea level; it is the first sighting you have of the bay when arriving from Ajaccio along the coastal route. The panorama extends from Calcatoggio, through the valley of Cinarqua, Tiuccia, Sagone to Carghese.

Bay from the Place de l’Eglise at Carghese

Here the bay is seen from the square in front of the church at Carghese, the town at the northern extremity of the bay. The bay is vaste and beauiful; Calcatoggio and our house are situated in a sheltered spot right at the end of the bay

View of the Cinarque Valley behind the property

A great advantage of our house is the added pleasure of the mountain backdrop.. Here you see the back of the property, from where you can enjoy looking across the entire Cinarque Valley with its many villages, each one equally characteristic of the area: Saari d’Orcino, Canelle, Calcatoggio and Casaglione. There are great opportunities for walking, cycling and horse riding in this valley. If this doesn’t appeal, you can follow the valley along the Route des Vins by car

The sunset from our garden

You can enjoy this sunset every evening from our garden room. View over the headland at Leucat and in the far distance Carghese; a wonderful sight you will never tire of

Our house taken from a hang-glider

Our house with its two chimneys, taken from a hang-glider. As you can see, the windows open onto the garden and the sea beyond. To the side and front of the house there is a grass and earth path, used only by pedestrians on their way to and from the beach, some 200 m away

Our garden

From our small garden you look directly towards the beach, some 150m away. There is a table where you can sit and enjoy breakfast and also an aperitif in the evening while enjoying the sunset. For relaxation and sunbathing, the sunbeds face the sea. Don’t worry, there is another table beneath the shade of an awning where you can relax over lunch. From the garden there is an equally extensive view of the mountain and Calcatoggio

Our family room

The main room of the house is 30m2; bright, cheerful, light and decorated in colours reflecting the sea and sky. At the end of this room the kitchen is to the left and the entrance to the house to the right. There is a sofa, two easy chairs, a television, DVD player and a working fireplace for the cooler evenings of spring and autumn

One of the two bedrooms

Our house has two bedrooms and sleeps six. This bedroom has a double bed, while the second bedroom has a double bed and 2 single slide away beds. The two bedrooms have French windows onto the garden and views of the sea and mountain

The beach at Calcatoggio

Calcatoggio’s sandy beach extends for about 2 kilometres and offers numerous activities: relaxation, sand castle building, swimming, sailing, diving, parasailing, hang-gliding from the San Sebastiano Pass

The village of Calcatoggio taken from the road leaving the property going towards Ajaccio. It’s a small attractive village, with a pleasant pace of life and from where it is possible to admire the bay, in particular from the square in front of the church
